Tom is a resident of Minneapolis, MN, where he lives with his wife, Michelle, and their three children, Sam, Taylor, and Tommy. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin with a finance degree and started his financial services career as a financial advisor with American Express Financial Advisors (now Ameriprise). After growing and selling his practice, Tom moved into various branch manager and vice president roles in his first career stint with the organization.

Tom was then recruited by Thrivent Financial, a Fortune 500, privately held investments and insurance company, where he led one of their most successful regional offices for 13 years. In 2016, he was promoted to the role of President for Thrivent’s Career Advisor business, where he spent his last few years leading their distribution, marketing, and operational functions. For the past four years, Tom has worked as an independent financial services consultant, serving corporate offices, regional field offices, and financial planning practices. He has also played various roles within his wife’s Ameriprise Financial franchise, Confetti Wealth, including Managing Partner and Senior Vice President of Development. Confetti Wealth is one of Ameriprise’s most successful planning practices, with a team of 25 people based in Edina, MN.

Tom is proud to have been a part of Confetti’s growth and development alongside Michelle, as he believes it has been one of his most impactful experiences for being a strong, knowledgeable, and influential leader in this competitive industry. In addition to his work in the financial services industry, Tom serves on the board of directors at Totino-Grace High School in Fridley, MN, and has served as a director for many other nonprofits, not-for-profits, and for-profit organizations throughout his career.

Finally, Tom is an avid golfer and coaches his children’s hockey teams in the Twin Cities.
